GCO launches the fifth edition of Q Magazine

20 December 2018

The Government Communications Office (GCO) has launched the fifth edition of Q Magazine, which lifts the lid on Qatar’s innovative and inspiring spirit.

As part of its work, the GCO publishes Q Magazine twice a year. Its purpose is to educate a global audience about the State of Qatar and highlight the country’s achievements and initiatives in various fields – both locally and internationally.

His Excellency Sheikh Saif bin Ahmed Al Thani, Director of the GCO, said: “In this edition we focus on the people and organisations that have cultivated a rich environment of inventiveness and creativity. The pursuit of these values is rooted in our belief that innovation is the means to create a happier, healthier and more sustainable society”.

In recognition of the trailblazers profiled in Issue 4 of Q Magazine, the GCO’s latest issue further develops the concept by speaking to the people behind Qatar’s most exciting programmes and activities. #Trailblazers is now a firmly-established feature of the magazine, and we look forward to showcasing more of these pioneers in future editions.

Issue 5 also features entrepreneurs who have delivered life-changing advances in health and environmental protection through cutting-edge practices, as well as those spearheading the most ambitious and sustainable World Cup ever planned.

“In Qatar there is no idea that is too big or too small”, HE Sheikh Saif Al Thani emphasised. “There are only ideas that are worth pursuing, collaborating on and delivering”.

Finally, the GCO is excited to announce that, for the first time, Q Magazine is immediately available in its entirety on our brand new online platform, QLife.com.

QLife.com further showcases the people and ideas behind Qatar’s development. It features exclusive content and video interviews with many of those featured in Q Magazine, as well as a range of other curated content covering sports, lifestyle, innovation, the arts, business and more. We invite you to explore further today on the website and our newly-launched Instagram.
