Milipol Qatar 2024 Exhibition and Conference kicks off
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Forces (Lekhwiya), inaugurated the 15th Milipol Qatar Exhibition and Conference at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center this week.
Bringing together global security policymakers, academics, industry leaders, and government officials, the three-day exhibition serves as the region’s leading platform for homeland security and safety. The event addresses comprehensive security solutions across land, sea, air and cyberspace.
On this occasion, Major General Nasser bin Fahad Al Thani, President of the Milipol Committee, said: “Distinguished by its world-class professionalism and elite participation, this year’s edition showcases cutting-edge developments in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, crisis management, and civil defence. It provides an essential platform for forging strategic partnerships between security agencies, government entities and private sector innovators worldwide.”
This year’s edition has achieved record-breaking attendance with over 350 official delegations, comprising VIPs, military and security leaders and international government representatives, underscoring the exhibition’s growing international prominence.
Hosting an impressive array of more than 240 companies from 26 nations, the exhibition floor showcases cutting-edge equipment, devices, services and systems in internal security and civil defence, all designed to enhance security infrastructure and crime prevention capabilities.
A unique addition to this year’s program is the inaugural artificial intelligence conference, spanning two days of intensive discussions. The specialised sessions explore the transformative role of AI in countering emerging global security threats while examining innovative applications of technology in enhancing security frameworks.
In addition, the exhibition marked the launch of the Qatar Digital ID application, a smart solution that digitises personal documentation, streamlining government services by replacing physical documents with digital alternatives.
Established in 1996 and held biennially, Milipol Qatar has grown into the region’s leading security exhibition. It serves as a key platform for government officials and decision-makers to develop security solutions and build strategic partnerships.
