HE the Prime Minister holds talks with HE the Egyptian Prime Minister

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, held official talks with His Excellency Dr Mostafa Kamal Madbouly, Prime Minister of the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the meeting, they addressed bilateral relations between the two countries and explored ways to strengthen those relations and broaden them in a variety of areas, particularly in economy and trade. The session also addressed the main regional and international developments of shared interest.

HE the Prime Minister, and the Prime Minister of Egypt, witnessed the signing of the Double Taxation Agreement between the ministries of finance in both countries which aims to avoid double taxation on income and fiscal evasion.

HE the Prime Minister stated that he had constructive discussions with his Egyptian counterpart which focused on expanding trade between the two countries and seizing the available investment opportunities efficiently.

Commenting on the relationship between Qatar and Egypt, the Egyptian Prime Minister expressed his eagerness to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries and boost coordination in various fields, especially investment cooperation. He added that the two countries are looking forward to fostering trade exchange for the benefit of their respective countries.

Several ministers from both sides, along with the accompanying official Egyptian delegation members, attended the officials talks and the agreement signing ceremony.
