HE the Prime Minister inaugurates Hamad Port Visitor Centre

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inaugurated the Hamad Port Visitor Centre, an invaluable addition to the vital and strategic facility in the State of Qatar.

During the inauguration ceremony, HE the Prime Minister participated in a tour of the centre and explored some of its facilities, including the first-ever aquarium of the State of Qatar. Furthermore, HE the Prime Minister visited the maritime museum and a multi-use hall equipped with the latest technologies that will help attract more tourists.

HE the Prime Minister also inaugurated “Mwanina”, the Port Community System, which is a smart electronic platform that allows information to be exchanged securely between the concerned individuals and the relevant entities in the port. This helps improve the operational efficiencies of all imports, particularly in terms of time and cost.

HE the Prime Minister was joined during the tour by a number of ministers and senior officials.
