Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser attends QF 2026 Convocation
1,100 graduates across Qatar Foundation’s higher education institutions
Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation (QF) attended the QF Class of 2026 Convocation, held at the Qatar National Convention Centre, where 1,100 graduates from across the foundation’s higher education institutions were honoured.
In a post on her official account on X, Her Highness said: “As you follow your chosen path, always remember to stay true to yourselves, your hopes, dreams and ideals. I hope you don’t allow the pressures of life’s challenges to blind you to your values and your belief in the possibility of a better world.”
Also in attendance was HE Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson of QF, alongside a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and senior dignitaries, university deans and faculty members, and the parents and families of the Class of 2026, in a ceremony that marked the culmination of the graduates’ academic journeys within the QF ecosystem.
During the convocation, QF celebrated the graduates of the Class of 2026, comprising 444 Qatari graduates and 660 graduates from 78 countries. Female graduates represented 60 percent of the cohort, while male graduates accounted for 40 percent.
The graduates took part in the symbolic tradition of stepping through the ‘Door to the Future’, a moment that marked their transition into a new chapter of their lives and celebrated the successful completion of their academic journeys.

This year’s convocation saw 16 members of the Class of 2026 honoured with the Qatar Foundation Award for Excellence, in recognition of their high academic performance and their leadership and innovative mindset. Their contributions span multiple fields, most notably technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability and healthcare, with a clear focus on positive impact and community engagement.
More than 120 applications were submitted for the award this year, with a specialist committee comprising representatives from QF’s various universities selecting the recipients.
Since its establishment in 1995, QF has, through its vision and guidance, dedicated itself to inspiring minds and empowering generations of students to reach their goals and realise their full potential, through a higher education ecosystem that includes the foundation’s Hamad Bin Khalifa University and seven international partner universities.
