His Highness The Amir inaugurates DIMDEX 2022
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, attended the opening ceremony of the 7th Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition & Conference (DIMDEX 2022), held at the Qatar National Convention Center from 21-23 March 2022 under the slogan “Connecting the World’s Maritime Defense and Security Community.”
The opening ceremony was attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, as well as a number of sheikhs, ministers, ministers of defense, chiefs of staff from allied nations, ambassadors serving in Qatar, senior officers of the Qatari Armed Forces, in addition to a number of guests including academics and experts in the maritime security and defense sector with over 80 high-level delegations from around the world.
The event features the main exhibition where innovative and futuristic technologies are showcased, boasting an unprecedented exhibition space of over 35,000 square metres, and hosting the Middle East Naval Commanders Conference (MENC).
