Prime Minister attends Doha Institute’s graduation ceremony
The ceremony reflects the institute’s growing role in preparing highly qualified academic and professional talent.
HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the graduation ceremony of the 10th cohort of master’s students from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, in the presence of ministers, Dr Azmi Bishara, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Institute, and several board members.
HE the Prime Minister said: “Congratulations to the graduates on this achievement. We are confident that the knowledge and experience they have gained will help prepare qualified talent capable of serving Qatar and their home countries. We wish them every success in their future journeys.”
The ceremony marked the graduation of 246 students, including 163 from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and 83 from the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy. The graduates represent 32 nationalities, including 73 Qatari graduates and 100 graduates supported by the Qatar Fund for Development through the Qatar Scholarships for International Students program.
HE the Prime Minister; HE Sheikh Dr Abdulla bin Ali bin Saud Al Thani, Vice Chairman of the Institute’s Board of Trustees; Dr Abdelwahab El Affendi, President of the Doha Institute; Dr Amal Ghazal, Provost of the Doha Institute; and deans of colleges presented the graduation certificates.
HE Dr Abdulaziz Al Horr, Director of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented certificates to the graduates of the Executive Master’s Program in Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation, offered by the Doha Institute in partnership with the Diplomatic Institute.

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies celebrated the graduation of ten cohorts since its establishment, totaling 1,886 graduates. Many of them have joined doctoral programs at prestigious universities around the world, while others hold professional, academic, and research positions in local and international institutions.
The Institute offers 20 internationally accredited master’s programs across its two schools: the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policy, as well as eight doctoral programs.
