Qatar launches Charitable Sector Strategy 2025-2030
The Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) has unveiled its 2025-2030 sector strategy, marking a significant step forward in enhancing the positive impact of charitable initiatives locally and internationally. The event included the launch of SANADY, a digital platform designed to streamline domestic aid coordination and management.
During the launch ceremony, HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family and Chairperson of RACA, emphasised the significance of these initiatives in advancing social development, in line with Qatar’s National Vision 2030. HE stated: “Launching these initiatives aligns with RACA and its partners’ commitment to our national vision and the Third National Development Strategy. Together, we have focused on strengthening this vision’s role in building an advanced and prosperous society.”
She added: “The strategy serves as our roadmap for maximising impact through strategic partnerships, both locally and globally. The SANADY platform ensures equity in aid distribution, ensuring assistance reaches those who truly need it effectively and efficiently. It is not just a coordination mechanism but an integrated system that assesses needs, facilitates processes and ensures good governance and transparency.”
Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Duhimi, Director-General of RACA, highlighted that the strategy focuses on strengthening sector coordination, building institutional capacity and strengthening human, technical and organisational capital. He added: “The SANADY platform represents a transformative step in charitable and humanitarian aid management in Qatar. It offers an integrated electronic system that enables easy and transparent application tracking.
The platform also enhances coordination between government entities and non-profit organisations, supporting effective information exchange through a centralised database. This ensures that genuine needs are identified, thus preventing duplication in aid distribution.”
The launch event drew high-level attendance, including from several esteemed ministers and key representatives of national institutions, as well as charity, humanitarian and development sectors.
The launch of these initiatives reflects RACA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the charity and humanitarian sector through enhanced national partnerships and impactful humanitarian services, further cementing Qatar’s position as a leader in global humanitarian action.
