The National Volunteer Platform is a unified national digital platform aimed at consolidating the efforts of relevant entities and organising volunteer work in Qatar within an integrated national framework that enhances efficiency and increases community impact by connecting volunteers with entities and volunteer opportunities through a trusted digital environment.
During the launch ceremony, HE Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Social Development and Family, affirmed that volunteer work in Qatar is not merely a moral commitment, but a fundamental pillar of national identity and a key driver for promoting the values of solidarity, cooperation and social cohesion.
Her Excellency said: “This achievement we celebrate today is the result of an extended institutional partnership and close integration between government entities, civil society organisations and the private sector. All parties contributed to developing policies, reviewing guidelines and shaping regulatory frameworks. This partnership has proven that collective efforts are the best way to address challenges and achieve major national aspirations, and that the National Volunteer Platform was built through the efforts of all, to serve all.”
Her Excellency noted that the launch of the platform marks the beginning of a new phase of organised institutional work that requires sustained partnerships and deeper integration of roles. She stressed that continued cooperation is the true guarantee for achieving sustainable impact that touches people’s lives, strengthens social cohesion, reinforces the values of belonging and responsibility, and establishes volunteer work as a deeply rooted national practice that contributes to building a more cohesive and prosperous society.

The platform aims to organise and license entities offering volunteer opportunities and facilitate access to them for all segments of society, in addition to documenting volunteer hours and providing a national database that supports planning and impact measurement, while strengthening the governance and management of the volunteer sector at the national level.
The platform also offers an integrated range of services, including volunteer registration, the management and publication of volunteer opportunities, the issuance of certified statements, training and qualification programs, a mutual evaluation system, and reports and statistics that support decision-makers.
