GRSIA launches its comprehensive strategy ‘Daman’ and unveils a new visual identity
Strategy is built on four pillars: trust, transparency, care and sustainability
An advanced package of digital services under the new strategy
Under the patronage of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority (GRSIA) launched its new visual identity and comprehensive strategy ‘Daman,’ marking a positive transformation in Qatar’s social insurance system.
This initiative demonstrates the GRSIA’s commitment to advancing the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030 through strengthening the pillars of social and human development and establishing a comprehensive ecosystem that reinforces principles of solidarity and sustainability. It aims to elevate quality of life in line with Qatar’s vision to build a cohesive, stable and sustainable society.
HE Ahmed bin Ali Al Hammadi, Director-General of the GRSIA, affirmed that launching the comprehensive strategy and the new visual identity marks a distinguished chapter in the progress of Qatar’s social insurance sector, noting that ‘Daman’, Arabic for “security”, is an authentic expression of the authority’s mission and its role in the lives of citizens.
He said: “This step goes beyond an update to our visual identity. It is the beginning of a new phase of insurance protection in Qatar in which we accelerate our efforts to make security a reality, turn our vision into tangible impact for every citizen and every family and advance our society toward a sustainable future.”
He added that the new strategy is built on four pillars: trust, transparency, care and sustainability, emphasising that the GRSIA has become a true partner throughout the life journey of citizens, rather than a destination at its end, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the country’s social insurance ecosystem for a sustainable future.

The GRSIA also announced the launch of a suite of advanced digital services under the new identity to enhance user experience and streamline processes. The most notable of which are: ‘Sara’, a virtual assistant offering instant guidance, the ‘Daman’ application, enabling users to manage services and transactions with ease, as well as a digital call centre offering direct visual communication with the authority’s staff and an updated website delivering a modern and comprehensive digital experience.
As part of its commitment to improving retirees’ quality of life and honouring their years of service, the GRSIA revealed a discount program called ‘Al Safwa’. The program offers exclusive benefits and discounts through partnerships with leading entities across various sectors. The authority will deliver both the new ‘Al Safwa’ card and the revamped ‘Daman’ retirement card directly to beneficiaries’ homes via mail, ensuring convenience and an enhanced retiree experience.
Strengthening the social insurance ecosystem, advancing digital services and empowering retirees are central to the nation’s drive to build a prosperous economy and a stable community. These efforts support a development model based on efficiency, sustainability and social equity, moving toward a future in which Qatari citizens continue to play a pivotal role in national progress, in alignment with the objectives of the Third National Development Strategy.
