His Highness the Amir attends the National Day Parade
His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, attended the 2025 Qatar National Day Parade, held this morning along the Doha Corniche, with wide participation from the country’s military and security entities.
The parade was also attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, Personal Representative of HH the Amir, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani, and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani.
Also in attendance were HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council, along with a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, ministers and dignitaries, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Qatar, and Their Excellencies guests of the country.
The parade commenced with the national anthem, followed by the firing of eighteen artillery salutes marking Qatar National Day and the anniversary of the founding of the State of Qatar. An aerial display by the Qatar Emiri Air Force followed, featuring strategic airlift aircraft and helicopters, alongside fighter jets and multi-role rotary-wing aircraft.
This was accompanied by a visual presentation highlighting the capabilities of the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces fleet, the latest maritime defence manufacturing technologies, and the coastal defence battery equipped with advanced defensive and offensive systems.
The parade then continued with the entry of the State flag, followed by marching units from the Ministry of Defense, led by infantry units of the Qatar Emiri Land Forces, the Qatar Emiri Air Force, the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces, the Qatar Emiri Air Defence Forces, the Military Police, and a number of units of the Qatar Armed Forces. The formations were accompanied by military vehicles, including armoured vehicles, tanks and air defence systems. Infantry units of the Amiri Guard and the Joint Special Forces specialising in operations and counter-terrorism under the Amiri Guard then took part.
Marching officers’ units from the Ministry of Interior followed, representing its security departments, colleges, centres, military institutes and riot control units. The display also featured modern vehicles, advanced patrol units, support helicopters, and a range of integrated security systems prepared to safeguard the nation’s security. Contingents of the Internal Security Force ‘Lekhwiya’ and officers’ units from various military entities then entered the parade.
The National Day Parade concluded with the participation of international military bands from sisterly and friendly countries, including the Sultanate of Oman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Republic of Türkiye, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The finale also featured Amiri Guard cadets, along with mounted units and camel riders from the Amiri Guard.
