Prime Minister attends Shafallah Center graduation ceremony

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the graduation ceremony of the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities’ Class of 2026. The centre is affiliated with Qatar Social Work, operating under the Ministry of Social Development and Family.

HE the Prime Minister honoured the centre’s 36 graduates in the presence of several ministers, senior officials, faculty members, and the graduates’ families.

HE the Prime Minister said: “I congratulate the graduates and their families on this achievement. We are proud of them and remain committed to supporting them through inclusion and empowerment. I also thank all those contributing to this noble humanitarian mission.”

The annual graduation ceremony reflects Qatar’s commitment to inclusion, equal opportunity, and improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

In her remarks, Fatima Saeed Al Saadi, Executive Director of the Shafallah Center, said: “Today, we celebrate the determination and resilience of our graduates, whose perseverance and pursuit of excellence have brought them to this milestone. This ceremony marks the culmination of a journey of hard work, patience, and belief in their abilities,” adding: “Today’s graduates have demonstrated remarkable potential worthy of support and empowerment. Their achievement is a source of pride for us all and a reminder that ambition knows no limits.”

Addressing the graduates, she said: “Today, you begin a new chapter, shaping your future with confidence and proving that determination is stronger than any challenge. You have inspired us all, and we are confident that you will continue to achieve and contribute meaningfully to your community and country.”

Established in 1999, the Shafallah Center for Persons with Disabilities provides specialised services for persons with intellectual disabilities and autism up to the age of 21, supporting their development, inclusion, and independence.
