His Highness the Amir honours recipients of Qatar Education Excellence Award

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, the 19th edition of the Qatar Education Excellence Award ceremony was held.

HH the Amir honoured 108 recipients of the award this year, including holders of doctoral and master’s degrees, university and secondary school graduates, and outstanding students at the preparatory and primary levels. The award additionally recognised excellence in the categories of outstanding teacher, school, and scientific research.

HH the Amir met with the award recipients and commended their accomplishments as a reflection of their dedication and ambition. He affirmed that investment in education and research is a strategic priority for advancing a knowledge-based economy, urging them to continue contributing to the nation’s development.

In a post on his official X account, HH the Amir expressed pride in honouring a distinguished group of young Qatari students at the Qatar Education Excellence Award ceremony, congratulating them on their achievement and wishing them continued success in their academic and professional journeys.

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the ceremony and meeting, along with several ministers and senior officials.

Through his official account on X, HE the Prime Minister extended his congratulations to all award recipients, noting that their excellence in scientific fields is the cornerstone of the nation’s future. He also congratulated their parents and wished them further distinction and achievement.

HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, Minister of Education and Higher Education, delivered a speech during the ceremony, underscoring HH the Amir’s continued support for the award over its 19 editions as a national platform recognising distinguished achievers. She emphasised that education and human development remain core national priorities guiding Qatar’s policies.

Launched in 2006, the Qatar Education Excellence Award honours academically distinguished Qatari students and is considered the nation’s highest academic recognition. It represents a sustainable investment in fostering creativity and excellence across society and building a knowledge-based human capital capable of meeting future demands, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
