41st Gulf Cooperation Council Summit held in Al-Ula

His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, the Amir of the State of Qatar, participated with the leaders of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) and heads of delegations in the 41st Session of the Supreme Council of the GCC Al-Ula governorate in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday 5 January 2021.

The meeting was considered a historic event for the GCC, as an extension of the joint action within the Gulf, promoting good-neighbourliness, mutual respect and fellowship among peoples. It also emphasised the illegality of infringing on the sovereignty of any of the GCC member states, in addition to the importance of not interfering in their internal affairs.

His Highness the Amir thanked the sisterly State of Kuwait for its efforts, as well as to the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the warm welcome praising the fraternal atmosphere that prevailed in the meeting and the efforts exerted to make it a success.

The State of Qatar welcomes progressing beyond the dispute and the reunification of the Gulf countries, serving the peoples of the region and achieving greater security, stability and progress.
