HE the Prime Minister attends the 2026 closing ceremony of Al Noor Center for the Blind

The ceremony reflects the integration of efforts aimed at empowering persons with visual impairments.

Graduates in black gowns and gold sashes celebrate on stage at the Al Noor Empowerment & Integration Programme graduation ceremony, held under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister of Qatar.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the 2026 closing ceremony of Al Noor Center for the Blind, which operates under the umbrella of the Qatar Foundation for Social Work, at its headquarters in Lusail City.

HE the Prime Minister noted that the centre is graduating a new generation that has earned its certificates with merit and distinction, affirming that when the nation provides a supportive environment and the right tools and builds confidence in the abilities of every individual, it does more than graduate individuals, it nurtures talents capable of contributing to and shaping the future. He congratulated the graduates and their families on this achievement.

The ceremony saw 29 graduates honoured from among the centre’s students and beneficiaries of integrated schools and universities, marking the success of a comprehensive rehabilitation and educational journey.

In attendance were a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers, senior officials, and representatives of entities working in the field of social development, alongside the families of students and beneficiaries and members of the visual impairment community.

The ceremony brought together success stories and the partnerships behind them, gathering graduates, their families, and representatives of governmental and private entities in a scene that reflects the collective effort to empower persons with visual impairments and broaden their opportunities in education and the workplace.

The centre continues to develop its programs in line with the latest international practices, integrating assistive technology and smart solutions across its rehabilitation pathways to ease access to knowledge, help students engage confidently with their surroundings, and prepare them for the labour market.

It also remains committed to delivering integrated, high-quality services that combine education, rehabilitation, and social support, building students’ capacities, strengthening their independence, and enabling them to shape their futures with confidence as active members of society and partners in the nation’s development.

This year’s ceremony featured a range of segments drawn directly from the students’ own experience, with inspiring success stories tracing graduates’ rehabilitative, therapeutic, and educational journeys and the challenges they had overcome, alongside artistic performances showcasing their talents and creative potential.

Through this occasion, the centre reaffirms its commitment to advancing and expanding its programs in step with rapid change, contributing to a more inclusive vision that ensures equal opportunities and a life of greater independence and integration for persons with visual impairments.
