HE GCO Director renews the State of Qatar’s calls for building a security pact for the Middle East

HE Government Communications Office Director Sheikh Saif bin Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani renewed the call, made by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, for building a security pact for the Middle East.

This came in HE Sheikh Saif bin Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani’s address at the Opinion Internationale 1st Conference – In the Middle: bridges and solutions with the Middle East held in Paris.

In front of an audience of senior French politicians and European foreign policy specialists, HE the Government Communications Office Director highlighted the success of the EU in providing a model for peaceful coexistence and collective prosperity.

The speech also confirmed Qatar’s commitment to playing a leading role in solving the serious problems facing the region, acting as a neutral mediator in international disputes and in promoting free and fair media.

On the sidelines of the conference, HE Sheikh Saif bin Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani met with HE French Special Envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council, Ambassador Bertrand Besancenot.

The meeting discussed the latest developments of the GCC crisis.
