HE the Prime Minister briefed on efforts to secure major sporting events
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended the concluding Barzan Joint Exercise 9, organised by the Amiri Guard and held at the Lahsaniya camp.
The exercise included a number of events, including the organisation of different procession formations and special exercises to ensure the protection of individuals. The joint exercise also highlighted the readiness of the relevant authorities to conduct regular and routine tasks during sports tournaments, in addition to conducting emergency responses while ensuring cooperation throughout.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior also watched a documentary film on the exercise, which highlighted joint efforts between the Amiri Guard as well as military and security agencies of the State of Qatar, with the aim of achieving the desired security integration during sports tournaments.
The Joint Exercise was attended by His Excellency Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs, His Excellency Major General Hazza bin Khalil Al Shahwani, Commander of the Amiri Guard, and a number of Qatari ministers, senior officials and security leaders.
