HE the Prime Minister honours distinguished teachers on World Teachers’ Day

His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has honoured several teachers during a ceremonial event that marked World Teachers’ Day. 

During the ceremony, which saw the rewarding of seventy-two teachers and four school principals, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior took the opportunity to praise the pivotal role of teachers in the education of children and the building of posterity. 

The ceremony — which was attended by an elite of teachers from different schools — featured the playing of the Qatari national anthem by children from the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, as well as the screening of a documentary that included thank you letters from school students expressing their appreciation and gratitude to their teachers. 

The ceremony was attended by Her Excellency Mrs Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, as well as various senior officials and heads of departments at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Members of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States Executive Board also attended the ceremony.
