HE the Prime Minister inaugurates the Hamad Port Visitor Centre
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, inaugurated the Hamad Port Visitor Centre — an invaluable addition to the already-existing vital and strategic facility in the State of Qatar.
During the inauguration ceremony, His Excellency participated in a tour of the centre and explored some of its facilities, including the first-ever aquarium of the State of Qatar. Furthermore, His Excellency visited the maritime museum and a multi-use hall equipped with the latest technologies that will help attract more tourists.
His Excellency also inaugurated “Mwanina”, the Port Community System, which is a smart electronic platform that allows information to be exchanged securely between the concerned individuals and the relevant entities in the port. This helps to improve the operational efficiencies of all imports, particularly in terms of time and cost.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior was joined during the tour by a number of ministers and senior officials.
