HE the Prime Minister visits Abu Samra border crossing to ensure readiness to welcome World Cup fans
His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, followed up on the progress of the Abu Samra border crossing’s expansion and development project in order to ensure readiness to welcome fans attending the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
His Excellency the Prime Minister inspected reception halls as well as other facilities and equipment, which were installed using the most advanced technologies, in order to ensure a smooth journey for fans during the forthcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
His Excellency was also briefed in detail on the port’s entry capacity and workflow, as well as its advanced services and protection systems.
His Excellency the Prime Minister was further briefed on the security and safety procedures at the Abu Samra border crossing as well as the equipment used to facilitate the arrival of World Cup fans.
His Excellency the Prime Minister was joined during the tour by a number of ministers, senior security officials, and officials supervising and implementing the expansion project.
