The Government Communications Office Director Participates in the First Coordination Meeting of the “Sharek” Platform

His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani, Director of the Government Communications Office (GCO), participated in the first coordination meeting for the “Sharek” platform which was organised by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau, and representatives of the departments of planning, quality, public relations and information systems from different government entities. The meeting aimed to introduce the “Sharek” platform and highlight its features for users of different levels.

His Excellency Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al Thani, Director of the Government Communications Office, affirmed the GCO’s readiness to support all government initiatives that enhance the services provided to the citizens and residents of the State of Qatar.

During his speech, His Excellency praised the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau for developing the “Sharek” platform. He noted that the platform will be an innovative and highly efficient addition to the government’s interactive communication system by employing the latest technologies in artificial intelligence and reaching users through social media and other channels.

He added: “We are always ready to cooperate with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and support all government initiatives that will enhance services provided to the citizens and residents of the State of Qatar. We are keen to continue improving the government’s institutional performance to meet the aspirations of our wise leadership.”

The meeting discussed mechanisms for linking all digital channels affiliated with government agencies through the “Sharek” platform. This is one of many stages of creating a comprehensive platform that provides the best experience for all citizens and government service providers.

During the meeting, the details of the Qatar Government Excellence Program and Award were announced. The award was created following a decision from the Council of Ministers and will be managed by an independent committee led by the President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau.

The Qatar Government Excellence Award aims to improve government performance, enhance the quality of government services, and encourage government agencies to compete to advance the standards of quality and excellence in performance, which will contribute to achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
